Every time I go to Panda Express I order the same thing: Sweet Fire Chicken! One day I realized that I could make this at home for cheaper and healthier. I made this several times until I perfected the recipe! It is an easy weeknight meal that can be modified to preference. I use fresh pineapple, white onion, red bell pepper, lime juice, cilantro and green onion. I also found a Thai Sweet Chili Sauce that taste exactly like the one panda express uses called Mae Ploy Sweet Chilli Sauce".
I make this recipe in two ways depending on how I feel. If I am craving the true Panda Express taste then I will bread it and fry, but it also tastes great (and healthier) baked! This recipe is a house hold favorite and I can’t wait to share it with you!
Dice up all the fresh ingredients in preparation for sautéing.
Sauctee in coconut oil or olive oil until tender.
